CDA August 2014 Jules ”What I love most about dentistry are patients that used to hide their smile, and because of  us, can now smile with joy. When  they get out of the chair, it is as if a weight has been lifted  from them! It makes me feel so good!”

Jules has over 18 years of experience as a dental assistant, from general to ortho, to pediatric to endo  surgery. She truly found her calling and  loves it. To compliment her passion for helping patients, she keeps  herself balanced as a yoga instructor and martial arts enthusiast. She loves  using her “extra” energy in such  a positive way.

Jules came to Arlington, Virginia as a globe trotter, due to her father’s career. Born in Germany, she grew up in the Middle East, but also lived in  South and North Africa, Libya, all over Europe, Argentina and Bolivia! She has siblings in Europe, Australia and South Africa. One sister lives with her here in Arlington. Their favorite pastime is walking around the city of Arlington. “Such an exciting city, but it is also filled with nature, we love it here.”

Karina Karina started her career as a dental assistant in 2005.

She grew up in Arlington, Virginia and has lived in New Hampshire, Texas, North Carolina and Florida  - but Virginia called  her and her family back! A blessing for Clarendon Dental Arts.

“I feel so comfortable here. I love the overall atmosphere where patients come first and we provide exceptional dentistry.  At  Clarendon Dental Arts everyone genuinely cares for their patients and each other. After my first week, I knew that I had  found my forever home.”

Karina loves to work with her hands – even when not caring for patients. She has a very creative artistic side:  loving to  paint, craft and bake. Tough competition for her husband, Will who is a Chef!  Karina is not all Martha Stewart though …  she also loves tackling home improvement projects!

Favorite food? The Peruvian chicken and yucca at Su Pollo in Alexandria.

Jessica, Clarendon Dental Art’s Patient Liaison, has been working in the dental  field since 2012.

She is very thankful to have worked in pediatric dentistry with special  needs children in her first dental job, it  was an incredible experience.  She is originally from  Dallas, Texas but has taken quite a liking to Virginia…  Jessica loves that there are hills here,  and it isn’t 100 degrees in the summer. You will find her hiking at Great  Falls or walking her  beloved German Shepherd, Ace or fishing!  Her Father instilled a love of fishing in Jessica,  so, truly the outdoor gal. When not hiking, walking or fishing, you will find her nestled up with  Ace and a  Stephen King book.
