Annual American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Conference 2016

I have been a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) for close to 10 years now. The annual conference (in Toronto this year) always allows me to learn about the newest technologies, research and methods in the world of Cosmetic Dentistry. This is an international organization  –  the sharing of ideas is unbelievable in the global world of dentistry.

I am fortunate to be able to harness the many hours of continuing education every year. I think the most obvious upgrades in cosmetics is not just in materials (for instance, non-metal crowns are overtaking metal/porcelain crowns) but in our abilities to diagnosis and develop a thorough treatment plan for our patients. Today we have technologies and materials that surpass what I was able to offer my patients just 5 years ago. I am able to start with the endpoint in mind and offer treatments that no longer “patch” things, but promote a lifetime of wellness.
