It was crystal clear to Laurie, the moment when, as a dental assistant, she was first given the opportunity to present and explain a treatment plan to a patient, this was the career for her! That first interaction opened a window to how much it means to the patient when you take the time to answer their questions, explain the “whys” and show how much you truly care about their dental and overall health. She knew she was in a career that made a difference in people’s lives. Laurie is now a Dental Hygienist.
Laurie doesn’t stop in the dental office. She is actively involved in public health services as a volunteer. She visits local schools, public clinics and shelters to help educate as well as provide preventative and therapeutic services to those who would otherwise go without dental care. Being bi-lingual, she is very involved in volunteering at health fairs for the Latin community as well.
“When I joined the CDA team, what first impressed me was the quality of care and how meticulous, organized and detail-oriented each team member is, every step of the way.”
With a true heart for caring and loving people, she is the perfect addition to the CDA Team. Be sure to ask her about her very tasty, healthy cookies. She won’t give out the recipe (maybe a 2nd career?), but she will share them with you (before your cleaning).
